Pengumuman yang dibuat oleh Timbalan Menteri Penerangan Dato’ Zahid Hamidi sebagaimana yang dimuatkan dalam akhbar THE STAR di bawah tajuk “Pool time for women only” Kata Zahid:
“To attract more Middle East tourists some hotels had already allocated time for women to swim from 6pm to 9pm. Some West Asians were MORE SENSITIVE and having a women only time for pools would encourage them to visitMalaysia”
